Does anyone have any good recipes for american chinese food classics?

Look up "crack slaw" recipes, or "egg roll in a bowl". This is a weekly staple for me. Very low calories, filling and satisfies the craving for chinese food. Very easy and quick recipes that will make multiple servings.

I don't use as much oil as the recipe calls for - just 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and cooking spray for stir-frying (instead of canola or some other kind of oil). But I used more sesame seeds, and I used also a whole red bell pepper instead of just a half.

Be sure not to skip the step of cooling down the asparagus with cold water. It stops the cooking process so the asparagus doesn't get mushy.

I re-vamp my favorite sweet & sour pork recipe

Pork is marinated in soy sauce and green onion. Then fried in a non-stick pan. Not coated & deep fried like the recipe.

For sauce I use Splenda instead of sugar (and less water because it's too much). This recipe is a little light on veggies so I add bok choy. Make sure the pineapple is in it's own juice.

Get some "5-spice", sesame oil, soy sauce, and/or ponzu sauce. You can marinate nearly any protein or vegetable in a combination of these things grill, stesm, etc.

This homemade chow mein and some gardein vegan mandarin orange chik'n, and I'm good to go.
Or just with some veggies and tofu stir fried with tamari, seasoned rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and sriracha, if I need to lay off the processed food, lol.

I'm intrigued by the air fryers. Do you cook for a while then stir? or just set timer and forget about it until done?

Nope I just chop everything and chuck it all in and cook away, I love it and love the little crispy

My air fryer comes with a slow stir attachment. It is removable if I am "frying" something delicate, like home made doughnuts.

It really is as simple as toss in the ingredients (with a tablespoon of oil) and turn it on.

You could also research the best for you Chinese food (stir fried meat and veggies?) or order ONE fried egg roll from the restaurant, go home, and eat it.

When I really had to budget my calories the best deal was the Wonton soup.
