If a child fails....

If a child fails to accomplish a task like riding a bike do you tell them they failed? Maybe that they will never be able to ride a bike? Do you encourage them to quit? Do you tell them to be content with where they are in life?

NO!!!

You rejoice in the short time they were able to balance! You tell them that each time they get back up they will stay on longer! You encourage them to look forward to their goal! You remind them how far they have come and tell them you know they will conquer anything they put their mind to!

Why let the voice in your head treat you unkindly? Talk to yourself like you would talk to a child, with love, understanding, and nonjudgmental corrections.
