Recomposition slow?
I lost 70 lbs and overshot my goal weight (finished at 157), started eating more and got up to 165 (my long term goal weight). I'm been lifting via Stronglifts since September, though as a complete noob. I got a DEXA scan in Dec showing 20.4% BF. Just got another one today (so 4 months later) showing 20.1%. Between those 2…

Recomp, Fatloss & diet question
Hey everyone - So I've been basically doing what I am guessing is a recomp. For the last ~6 months I have been lifting twice a week, doing HIIT/boot camp style classes twice a week, with one more day of something outdoorsy like snowboarding, long hike, etc. I have counted zero calories during this time. My weight has…

Working out goals?
I'm a 5ft 3" female, weighing 126 pounds and my goal says to maintain this weight with a lightly active lifestyle I need 1690 cals per day. When I go back to work as a massage therapist my goal changes on this system to be just under 2000 cals! How on earth do I eat so many calories to provide gains & stay at the same…

More steps=more calories?
I have always considered myself fairly active considering I am a SAHM with two toddlers, but in the last month or so I have really noticed that without my workouts I only really get about 6,000 steps a day. So for the last month I have made a commitment to try to get to 8,000-10,000 steps a day not including my workouts. I…

Highest weight or Lowest weight
I always take my highest weight for the day instead of my lowest weight for the day as my overall weight when I am telling people my weight, entering in information etc. I do this basically because I can gain anywhere from 3-6 lbs depending on what I eat/drink or what time of the month it is. I read people should take…

Tracking weight on MFP
I've been tracking my trend weight on happy scale for over a year now. Maybe once a month or so Ive changed my current weight on MFP, but I've never done it regularly enough to notice this so I thought I would ask. Yesterday I switched back to maintenance again...entered my current weight...and got my new calorie goal.…

Hit target
I've hit my main target of losing six stone but now I need to know how to start increasing my calories and not start gaining. This week I've increased my daily intake from 1240 to 1460 and put on 2.6 lbs even though I've probably done more walking and also alittle more workouts. The walking I've done throughout my dieting…

Which is better at predicting calories - Fitbit or MFP?
My Fitbit app and MFP both give me a different amount of calories to maintain my weight with. For peeps that use both - which do you find to be more accurate?

Women: how much do you eat NET to maintain
If you are maintaining at your goal weight, I'm curious to know how much you eat NET to maintain. Could you also add, please if you're strength training or not. Much appreciated. Me: I'm still cutting but I maintain at 1500cal net, no lifting. (Just starting a lifting program). (Mostly women as I won't be able to relate to…

Entering calories burned accurately
Hey guys, I'm wondering whether or not to add calories burned during strength training session in the diary log ?

Fitbit syncing mystery
Does anyone know why my Fitbit is syncing steps to MFP, and I'm being credited calories for them, but not syncing workouts? For example, today I ran for 45 minutes, but that's not showing up in my diary. If I manually enter the workout on MFP, it duplicates it on my Fitbit dashboard, so I don't want to do that.

best diet for Leaning out while maintaining muscle?
Just seeing what others do as far as dieting to lose fat but not lose size and strength. I know some will go but trying to hold on to most I can.

Thinking of starting to maintain weight.
This is a wee gripe. I feel Iwant to continue on a weight loss journey. I'm 5ft and 120 ish lbs. Lost 18lbs. I have fat on my back and bottom arms... Female friends keep telling me to stop or asking what my goal is in a sorta concerned manner but they seem to be inferring I'm out of control and warped. It's really…

Recomp and maintenance
I've posted so many times in the past couple days, probably anxious about transitioning into maintenance (im about 5 lbs away) but I want to be as prepared as possible. So right now in weight loss, I do HIIT and hills on the bike 3x a week, then strength training and steady state cardio 3x a week with one rest day. I'm…

Fitbit calorie confusion
I'm a smart person, why can't I figure this out?!! I have a Fitbit Charge 2, have had it since last December. And for the whole time I've been ignoring its calorie estimation for me and going by MFP instead. But here's the problem: the Fitbit consistently tells me that I've burned more calories than MFP, and so by sticking…

Loosing weight, but I feel like I'm eating too much!
I've been struggling for a while, I've always been a little underweight but I keep loosing weight and when I try to adjust how I eat so I'm eating healthier and more, I still loose weight. It's just frustrating because whatever I log I always end up wayyyyyy over what i'm budgeted for sugar and carbs, but i'm still way…

Starving After Weight Lifting
I started the 5x5 StrongLifts program just under a month ago to add some bulk and muscle definition to my frame. I'm seeing results, which I love. My biggest struggle with this program is not how heavy the weight is, but how utterly STARVING I am the days after I lift. I've used several TDEE calculators to determine that…

Transition/maintenance changes
I'd posted earlier in an attempt to get some feedback from people as to how to transition from weight loss to maintenance, as I am close to said transition. After reading several comments, I wanted to bounce some thoughts and ideas off of people to see if my plan makes sense or looks like a good plan. I know its hard to…

Those who got really lean after losing a lot, how much did your skin tighten over time?
I know it has a lot to do with age and genetics, but I'm curious: Those who lost 80+ lbs and found they had a little bit of loose skin (bottom of stomach, inner thighs, etc), where it was aesthetically unsightly but not medically an issue, how much did the skin tighten and over what length of time? I remember reading one…

Maintain weight - lose body fat
Yesterday I asked how to hit my calorie target (which I'm consistently under). Today, I'm curious to know whether 1750 sounds right for a female, 5ft2, 49kg, 20.58% body fat . Happy with weight but just want to lose a little more fat. :)

I gained quicker than I lost
I spent three months trying to lose weight, I ended up losing around 15 pounds and within the past month or so I gained it all back. I was at lose 1 pound per week when I hit my goal. Then I set it to maintain and I was hitting my calorie mark every day. Even though I may not have been eating the best foods over these past…

What do I eat to obtain the correct calories?
Last August I realised that change was recquired to what i was eating - regularly having e.g 3 whole pizzas a week, another example being 2 pies with chips and beans + snacking on chocolate or a family bag of onion rings. All this in one week. Virtually no excersise and no fruit - maybe a little veg. I weighed around 84kg…

2200 calories?
I'm currently trying to maintain my weight. I'm an 18 yr old female, 5'1 and 100 lbs. I eat about 2200 calories a day which is way more than MFP says I need. I tried eating the amount mfp said I needed (about 1700 w exercise) but I would end up feeling really tired. I run xc for my high school (~35 mpw) and I was lifting…
