Sausage, Hash Brown, and Egg White hash - 343 cal per serving
I hate not feeling full so I came up with this recipe that is tasty, filling, and sort-of easy to make. It keeps well in the fridge and reheats very well. So when I make this, I typically make 4 servings so we have 2 for later. Ingredients: 2 servings SIMPLY POTATOES - 140 cal. (or 140 calories of your favorite potato…

Green Goddess Smoothie
I was surprised to see a listing of grams of protein in the Green Goddess Smoothie listing 8 grams of protein with the use of almond milk. My daughter is a RD, CSSD, LD and has recommended my using soymilk for additional calcium needs at 65 years, and because it has way more protein than almond milk. I decided to enter the…

What did I mess up on?
Chicken raw- with skin on and bone in - 1380 grams Raw rice - 230 grams 1 tbsp oil Tomato puree- 2 tbsp Water and salt. When it was all set and done- it comes out to 1450 grams cooked. Now - I don't know where I messed up? Does the serving size = 100 grams? so let's say if I eat 400 grams it means I put in that I ate "4"

Manual recipe & database recipe calorie count discrepancy
I just found a recipe I want to try but, in the gist of trying to do it right, created a copy here to get the caloric content. When I went to put it in, I found the same-named recipe. Rice Cookers
Does anyone have recommendations on rice cookers? I am thinking a smaller one that would not take up a ton of room and make up to 4 servings at a time? Also, I prefer brown rice over white rice if that makes a difference in what you would buy. Thanks!

Anyone here using a Sousvide machine?
My hubby bought one recently and it is really helping me with my diet and is very convenient for my lifestyle. I cook chicken, pork, fish in it, usually rubbed with herbs or spices and vacuum packed beforehand. I am impressed at the results - even when cooked straight from the freezer. Would welcome other ideas for its use…

Pico de Gallo
Everybody makes this.* Chopped tomato * Finely chopped or minced onion * Jalapeno, serrano etc. * Cilantro * Lime juice. After a few hours water separates from the fresh veggies, tomatoes mostly, and collects in the tub. So I added two minced halves of dry sun-dried tomato for each Roma tomato. The dried tomatoes add a…

Is there a way to save a certain label (barcode)
Is there a way to save a barcode to a product you use a lot? For example a can of beans, I want to store it away in a container. Can I scan the barcode and use it for other days to alter the grams for that days servings without having to remember what brand it was and searching for it each time. Thank you
