Green Goddess Smoothie
I was surprised to see a listing of grams of protein in the Green Goddess Smoothie listing 8 grams of protein with the use of almond milk. My daughter is a RD, CSSD, LD and has recommended my using soymilk for additional calcium needs at 65 years, and because it has way more protein than almond milk. I decided to enter the exact ingredients and amounts as listed in the recipe for two servings. The results difference were: 4.2 grams protein vs. the listed 8 grams. Also, there was another important discrepancy with the carbs: 40.5 carbs vs. the 11 listed. This is an even more, I feel, important difference for those affected with diabetes.
