Do you guys think it would be a good idea to go on fruit and veg smoothie diet for say a week or so? There was this fruit and veg smoothie place near my workplace before and they madre some amazingly nutritious and some tasty smoothies. I loved them so much and they made me feel super healthy! What do you think good idea or not nutritious enough?

I think you should try your best to just eat the foods you can imagine yourself eating the rest of your life. Not to say don't have some (I have a fruit smoothie and a veggie juice drink everyday myself), but it should be incorporated into a diet and lifestyle you will follow everyday. Living on juice/smoothies only isn't a way to live long term, so there really is no point in giving it a week.
They are wonderful tasty ways to incorporate fruits and veggies into your diet, but that's all they should be, a way for you to incorporate fruits/veggies into your diet in a way you enjoy.
If your trying to lose, gain or maintain. Try focusing on counting your calories accurately and adjust your diet as you record and see changes need to be made.0 -

No..
and why just a week, what is that going to d o? You will lose five pounds of water weight and then when you go back to normal eating you will gain said five pounds back...
Just eat real food, eat in a calorie deficit, and hit your goals.1 -
why would that be a good idea? Protein and dietary fat are very essential to your diet. Why not just eat a balanced and varied diet making sure you get in your proper intake of veg and fruit along with your proteins, fat, and some grains. I think that would be best.0

Yorria is right. It's great that you want to improve your health, but a fad diet isn't healthy. I'd also be worried that they would be more fruit based and you will be eating excessive sugars. Perhaps it would be better to just have one healthy smoothie every day and make them yourself at home with plenty of spinach etc. YOu could do this forever.0

Absolutely not. Eat real food. A smoothie now and then - or even daily for breakfast okay - smoothies for every meal = no good.0

People do it, but I wouldn't. I would not trust a smoothie from a shop, it could be less nutritious than you realize. Just buy a blender and make your own.0

No. Eat real food. Anything you lose you would gain right back when you went back to eating normal food.
Also- some of those smoothies could actually put you OVER for your calories for the day. Seriously. I've had a 600 calorie healthy smoothie (no added sugar).0 -

This. Have green smoothies-that YOU make- as part of that diet, but not as the only thing.0 -

Only if chewing has done something to offend you.0

Occasional smoothies were about all I could stomach for a week recently. It sucked, and I felt over-sugared, and my digestive system got all out of whack. I love smoothies, but they are definitely not an all the time food0

Take my word, you're going to be miserable if you choose to do that! It's fine to incorporate smoothies into your everyday routine but don't make that your only source of nutrition. You'll feel just as great if you focus o a balanced diet or rather than diet let's say lifestyle change0
