Anyone have any advice in regards to continuining a strength training routine while pregnant? My doctor wants me to stick to just cardio but I don't even do cardio and loathe the thought of giving up weights. He seemed incognizant on the subject.

Present your doc with this info and ask him why you aren't allowed to Strength train. If he can't give you a clear and concise answer, you may want to seek out another care provider.
I trained with weights during my pregnancy and gave birth to a healthy baby. Look around on the Girls Gone Strong website. They have some really good training information.1 -
There are several women at my gym who continued strength training up until delivery. One lady in particular, I remember watching her do rack pulls at like 8 months. A competitive power lifter I know used sled drags to induce labor....0
