Lots of terriers have a whispy beard. Anymore of a description you can give me? You can look on the AKC website and see pics of dogs from the terrier group here that might help you.

Some of the Jack Russell terriers have coarse hair under their chins that can look like a beard. They also have these hairs around the face and neck sometimes. But there are many other breeds that have coarse hair too.

I have three terriers. One is a Westie but he was born without that extra hair that makes the fuzzy Westie mane. He looks just like this. Best dog ever.

I see Jack Russell terrier in that baby! What a cutie, too!

FTR, I grew up with an Airedale Terrier, my brother had one, and I now have two. They're kinda like Lays ... You can't have just one!

Terriers are infamous for being difficult to house break. Keep with it - he'll get it. Very cute pup. I'm a terrier person - have only had terriers for most of my life. Currently owned by a yorkie terror that is the love of my life. :)

By the chest and front paws.. I would say Jack Russell... STILL... by experience in the field of rescue dogs, many dogs can look like 2 breeds and at the end, he is neither... others have so much mix (parents, grand parents) that you can't even see one breed!
It's one of the reason, DNA test should be done or just say mix breed.... but rescues and shelters don't always have the money.... but knowing the breed can help prevent breed related health issues....

Terriers respond much better to positive reinforcement than negative reinforcement. When he goes potty outside, praise him lots and give him a treat. If he goes inside, and you catch him in the act, be firm and tell him NO. If you don't catch him at it ... don't scold him, he'll not know what it's about. just clean it up.

Don't forget that to be responsive, all terriers (like most dogs) need lots of exercise or they will be frustrated, over-excited... and so on...

what a cutie...yep terriers are monsters in fur...they don't outgrow that mischief either.

Mom to now only one terrier (Airedale) after having to put my sweet boy down due to cancer 2 wks ago & mom to a retired racing Greyhound.
