Yay or nay on carb cycling?

Does carb cycling work I usually eat like 200 carbs a day which seems like a lot but they are all "good" carbs no junk.. But I recently read in a magazine that If you carb cycle 2x a week 50 carbs or less then you will lose more weight and keep it off... Seems alittle extreme to me ,,, that seems like ur fat intake would go up tremendously bc I couldnt only eat chicken there would have to be a lot of nuts and peanut butter... Any thoughts on the topic or experience with it?:)

Any advice that suggests toying with a standard diet will not work.
Certain exceptions exist such as increasing protein during weight training.0 -

A trainer suggested this to me so I tried it for a while. It was basically 2 days low carb then 1 day higher carbs then repeat. I ate mostly fish, chicken, eggs, greek yoghurt, nuts and veg/salad on the low carb days then on the higher had oatmeal, potatoes etc.
It did work and I planned it so my higher carb was on weight training days.0
