Soft food suggestions.....

So I had braces put on 4 days ago at the of 32 cos I couldn't stand my crooked front teeth anymore. Now I am paying the price ! These darn things hurt like heck! I want to rip them out! I haven't been able to enjoy food....maybe that's a good thing :) I'm sticking to soups, pastas, cottage cheese and shakes. Occasionally I will to eat other things but I suffer . Anyone out there experiencing this nightmare or have in the past? I could use some ideas as to what else to eat.

When my kids got their braces they live on alot of breakfast foods cuz they were soft like scrambled eggs, oatmeal, pancakes, peanut butter, yogurt, cream of wheat, applesauce, ripe bananas, some other ideas steamed or cooked till soft vegetables such as carrots, squash, sweet potatoes or mashed potatoes, pudding well cooked pasta or mac & cheese.

Hope this helps you it will get better soon. Also are you taking tylenol or motrin to help with the discomfort? I know our orthodontist had my kids do that too.

I took naproxen once. The discomfort is only when I eat. I sure hope this gets better soon!

My son has been going through the same thing. They will hurt for a few days then it will get much better. He has the same pain after the adjustments every few months. Eggs and greek yogurt will get you your protein.
