  • I tried it a few months ago, but didn't like it so much. Think I might change my approach and use it for strength training more. Not sure I'll be able to do it so much next few weeks though, as it's kids' summer holidays.

I am not 100% satisfied with it either, but it's not that bad for strenght training. I am mainly using it while I wait for the indoor swimming pool to re-open, and because I commute to work, so sometimes it's the only way I have to do a bit of exercise (I need a digital avatar to scream at me, otherwise I'd do 10 minutes stretching and go to sleep).

I love your hair in your avatar here, by the way.
  • Aw thank you! It was when I went to Goodwood Revival, hairnet and several litres of hair spray! lol
Will definitely give it another go. Next week when husband is back at work and kids are upstairs.
I read so many good reviews, maybe I just wanted too much from the kinect. I do want to find a good one though.

Don't have an x-box but I'm an avid Exergamer using the Wii (Exergamer = one who uses Exercise Video Games). Currently I use:

EASA2.0 (EA Sports Active) which is on the X-Box if you can find a copy (There is a group of us, cross platforms, on this site)

EASA NFL Training Camp, this was only made for the Wii

Get Fit With Mel B (This is a rough one but I believe it is only on PS3 and the Wii). When I say rough I mean a hard workout,

    Zumba2

Exerbeat (When I want to take an Active Rest Day) Wii only I believe.

Now for some other stuff. The reason we may not be seeing more active/fitness games. There are at least two lawsuits from companies claiming they invented the technology for motion sensing that preceded and allowed for "active" gaming. Until those suites wind through the court system, well you don't see any being made. Except for the Dance games, there is a desert out there.
  • Wow, thanks for that, really informative
Is this the Mel B one? It's one i found for kinect

I thought about getting it as it's so cheap and worth a try. I also thought about getting an EA Active one.

I wish i had the money for a regular personal trainer, don't we all?! But at least an interactive game is a tiny bit similar!

The cover is different but it appears to be the same. When I purchased my copy (Wii), the x-Box wasn't out. I'm glad Sony brought it to X-Box.
