One of the simplest things I do for a protein shake is mix water with 1 scoop of protein and 1/2C quick oats. Protein, good carbs, and some fiber to fill you up.0

meet "Sludge":
Greek yogurt, chocolate protein powder, peanut butter. Mix well. I know it's not a shake, but it's VERY FILLING!
normally I just throw almond milk, protein powder, and some heavy cream in my blender bottle and go. It's not really rocket science.0 -
My 2 favorites:
8 oz Unsweetened Almond Milk
1 scoop Chocolate Whey Protein Powder
1/2 cup frozen dark cherries
8 oz Unsweetened Almond Milk
1 scoop Strawberry or Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries (or other fruit of your choice)0 -
1 scoop of protein powder.
Fruit of your choice.
Cup of water/juice.
Couple of ice cubes.
Blend well and enjoy!0 -
This is what I use as a breakfast replacement nearly every day. Filling, good nutritional profile, convenient to make & take. The only difference in my recipe vs. what is below is that I make mine with double strength refrigerated coffee to give it a caffeine kick:
1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology
2 scoops Optimum Nutrition 100% whey protein (from GNC)
2 tablespoons PB2 or (better, cheaper) peanut flour
12 oz of water
12-15 ice cubes
blend until smooth
Shakeology is *fantastic* -- I have used it once a day every day since January of this year & have lost an amazing amount of weight (well, amazing to me anyway) and feel great! More about Shakeology can be found at: http://myshakeology.com/Ernest24 Each delivery includes at least 30 different recipes to try, if daily variety is important.
Best wishes!0 -
500ml Full fat milk
2 scoops of whey protein
30g of flax seed
1 tble spoon of peanut butter
2 tble spoons of chocolate nesquick (because I hate the taste of peanut butter)
4 tea spoons of benefiber (soluble fiber)
Works out at between 700-800 calories.0 -

There is nothing special about shakeolgy, it's very over priced, also that guy wants to sell you some. Don't be fooled, counting calories, making informed decisions & hard work drop the weight, not a magic shake with "olgy" attached to the end to make it sound sciency!0

8oz coffee
vanilla whey
ice
1 to 2 packets splenda
blend
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup water
vanilla whey
1 to 2 packets splenda
blend
*less water makes kind of a ice cream like substance.
1 cup skim milk
1 banana
vanilla whey
ice
1-2 packet splenda
*optional: 1 cup frozen strawberries (but this doesn't fit well in my single serving blender)
*That's the highest calorie one I do.0 -
Thanks everyone! These should keep me going for a while with a good variety!
@shiftysheep
No fear! I get my whey from walmart, lol. I'm not going to spend a ton of money (that I don't have) on something just because it sounds scientific. ^-^ I like Jillian Michaels whey powder, its like $10 and lasts me around 2 weeks at a time. Vanilla or chocolate, they both taste awesome.0 -
8oz coffee
vanilla whey
ice
1 to 2 packets splenda

I am a coffee addict and this sounds yummy!!0 -
Another idea is to try almond butter instead of peanutbutter (never had some but just bought some )0
