How much is 38 grams of shredded mozzarella? I don't have a food scale..... But I want one.

I want to make a personal pita pizza for dinner tonight, but Im having a hard time logging it in...

The containers my dad used are from Fortino's and we get:
- 30% M.F. Asiago, shredded

And

- Salerno 18% M.F. Mozzarella, shredded.

They don't come with the nutrition facts so I have no clue how to log this in.

I'm not sure how to do this. I'll probably use the lightest type if cheese we have for mine.

The nutritional info on most bags of shredded cheese says that 1/4 c. is about 28 grams, so a little more than 1/3 c. should be close to 38 grams.

    Hope that helps.

I use my digital scale to weigh EVERYTHING and it is absolutely the best way to get serving sizes correct. I'd recommend getting one as soon as you can.

About 1/4 LEVEL cup is a serving. Don't pack it in there.

A digital food scale for $20 is a great investment. Check them out at Amazon.com if you don't live near a big retailer.

Do invest in yourself and health with a dietary scale. Even the cheaper ones are good. Check Amazon for lowest prices. you want a modern digital one that measures in gms and ounces.

Imo you need to release the cheese. Start the process by cutting back, further, and further. Labels lie about size. you will find that out when you start to measure. It is always going to be less than what you think. You'll adjust!

Learn some healthy options for the best success!

Oh, I thought this was going to be a cheese lover's support thread. Like someone finally started CEA Cheese Eaters Anonymous or something.
