Sore calves

I have been doing 30ds since Monday and am enjoying it except my calf muscles really hurt, it was suggested keep going through the pain but I am worried about snapping my Achilles tendon like I did when a child. Anyone got any suggestions how to ease the pain as its really annoying and I still can't complete the sections with jumping jacks as my calf muscles hurt so badly. Thanks.

get something like this : http://www.zensah.com/calf-sleeve.html or compression socks
these really help me avoid calf pain i get on days when i run steps.
eventually your muscles will get conditioned to being worked that way, but in the meantime compress those suckahs0 -
Stretch,, foam roller, or massage are all good tools for soreness. It could also be from you shoes.0

I had the same thing. People suggested new shoes (which I can't really afford), arch supports (which I tried and my feet then slipped out of my shoes during some of the Level 2 stuff) and the compression sleeves or socks. I have no clue where to get compression sleeves or socks (running store I assume) so I bought something at Walmart in the sporting goods dept that is helping. They are actually ankle supports but it specifically said compression on the package so I got them, I just wrap them around my shins only and not the ankle. They were $5 each. Also getting to Level 2 helps - not as many jumping jacks or jump ropes.0

Another vote for foam rolling. Fairly inexpensive piece of equipment to torture yourself with. It's a great help to loosen up muscles similar to a deep tissue massage and you can use it all over.0

Are you talking about delayed onset muscle soreness such as the one that occurs a day or two after the workout? Or does it hurt every time you try to exercise? If it hurts each time you might want to do a different exercise and talk to your doctor, if it is a doms, just do a foam roll and take it easy for a day or two.0

Don't go through a pain that might create an injury. If you're concerned about snapping something, you need to stop now. There is no advantage to ever working out in pain. Muscle soreness is one thing. Pain is something totally different. Do not work through that sort of pain. Ever.0
