Wrist frame calculation accuracy.

Options
I have a 6 inch wrist at 5'7 which correlates to a small frame. However, I definitely would have guessed I had a large/medium frame. How accurate is this and is there another way I can determine/double check my approximate frame size?

Using your elbow breadth is far more accurate: http://health.bizcalcs.com/Calculator.asp?Calc=Frame-Size-Elbow

I just did it and got 2.5 inches as a medium frame. Is this the measurement I should go by?

It's generally more accurate and will be the one your doctor will use if you ask them to do it.

I felt the same way. It called me small. I've never considered myself small. In my life. I once had a sales clerk tell me (at 5'6" 110 pounds) that the 5,7,9 petite store "wasn't for me".

My wrist has me at a medium frame, my elbow has me at a large. I find that a little surprising for my upper body, but I've definitely always thought my lower body was large.

I'm 6 inches and 5'7. My doctor told me I have large bones...so...I just gave up trying to figure it out :P Some people tell me I have a large frame since I'm 120 lbs and still have a 36 inch *kitten*...and then some people tell me I'm really small...probably because they're looking elsewhere :P

    Wrist: small frame
    Elbow: Large frame (3.5)

I'm pretty sure I get huge as I go down.

My forearm is much smaller than my size 0 friend. My yoga teacher remarked on how small my wrists are. My wrists measure 6 around, but the width of the inner area of my elbow is 3.5 which puts me at a large frame size. People are always telling me how skinny my arms arm. This is telling me I shouldn't go any smaller than my current weight. I find this hard to believe.

Yeah according to the elbow measurement I should be my start weight lol...I actually had breathing, lethargy, and heart rate problems etc there...I got there by hardly moving an inch every day and being really depressed and gorging myself. That's why I came here? lol

This explains why my arms didn't feel so elegant when I did ballet though...stupid chubby boney elbows :P
