How do I add breasfeeding to my logging? I am exclusively breastfeeding now. Thank you!

Just type breastfeeding into the food database. It'll give you a bunch of options including feeding exclusively, gives me 500 extra calories each day. Good luck!

make sure you look through all the options and choose the one that most closely resembles your situation- infant (exclusively breastfeeding-no solids) does burn 500 calories but as they get older the calorie requirement decreases. I only log 100 because my daughter is older (28 months) and only nurses 2-3 times a day. There are a lot of option to choose from

500 calories! Wow, I knew you lost with BF, but had no idea it was that much.

You are one smart Mama! Not only are you doing something good for you (lowered risk of certain cancers), but also good for your baby. You are reducing baby's chances of obesity and diabetes.

I was also at my slimmest while breastfeeding. I gained my weight later, due to a medical issue, but nursing always helped me to lose that baby weight.

The unofficial calculation is 20 calories burned per ounce. So, not everyone burns as much, but it is still significant.
