So I am hosting a Gi Joe/ Transformers collector club meeting and need some idea of what to feed them, likely it will be mostly men. So i need something filling and budget friendly. It doesnt need to be "healthy" or low cal either.

Any ideas of what kinda spread to have that is easy to do? What dish would you make for a potluck?
I like variety, as i dont know who will like what.

Thank you in advance!

My go to for a potluck is this :

    TABOULI SALAD
    Printed from COOKS.COM
1 c. bulgur wheat, soaked overnight and drained, will expand
    1 bunch finely chopped scallions
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bunch dried mint, chopped
    1 lb. ripe tomatoes, diced
    1/2 c. fresh lemon juice
    1/2 c. olive oil
2 bunches fresh parsley, chopped fine

Mix and serve with pita bread or on Romaine lettuce. Can be prepared a day in advance. Serves 12.

For us here at home or company I often will add poached chicken breasts to this. Its very simple but good! The bulgur I get from Safeway etc...also called cracked wheat. It was a small bag by Bob's Red Mill, and was about 4 dollars I think iirc but it expands big time when cooked.

Google foods for super bowl parties, and there's your answer. :)

Every guy is different, so there isn't one magic food that will please everyone.

My favorite cheap and easy party food... buy huge bag of frozen breaded popcorn chicken or chicken nuggets. Heat in oven as directed. Toss with bbq or buffalo sauce, have some ranch dip on the side. One of my local grocery stores sometimes has store-made nuggets for as low as $1.49 a bag.

Or toss chicken in a crock pot for several hours with buffalo sauce until it's falling apart. Shred it and add cream cheese (greek yogurt works well, too) to make buffalo chicken dip or roll it in a whole wheat tortilla and slice it for pinwheels.

Chips, salsa, veggies, dip, cheese cubes, pretzels, pepperoni slices.

Or just order a pile of pizzas.

    TOTALLY not healthy...

Little smokey sausages, wrapped in bacon, sprinkled with brown sugar. Baked in the oven.

They're really good. ._. I served them at a SuperBowl party 2 years ago and they were gone within an hour.

I made them with hot dogs cut into thirds, cooked in a crock pot. So yummy.

    When you are preparing a quick meal for a bunch of sports minded men you can never go wrong with make your own Mexican. When my wife and I have a short notice meal that needs to be prepared for a lot of people I go to the store and get;

    1) bags of Tortilla chips
    2) bags of Tortilla soft shells
    3) cans of refried beans
    4) tomatos
    5) shredded cheese
    6) salsa
    7) ground beef
    8) sour cream
    9) iceberg lettuce
    10) jar of jalapeños
    11) chili powder (to season the meat)
    12) hot sauce
    13) onions
    13) beer

Its Über easy to prepare and your guests will love it. For dessert get graham cracker crumb pie shells. Key Lime yogurt and Cool Whip. Mix together the yogurt and cool whip and freeze (put in fridge 3 hours before serving)
