Weekends = downfall

Hi everyone! I'm new to MFP. My ultimate goal is to loose 40 lbs. I've been doing herbalife, counting calories and exercising 5-6 days a week for almost two weeks now :)
Before starting this weight loss journey i never kept track of my calories, hardley ever exercised and was used to heavy drinking on the weekends. Now that i'm counting calories i see how crazy my lifestyle was before. I feel pretty proud of my self that i've kept on this track for almost two weeks now. Before starting this i thought i had lost all of my motivation, i was majorly depressed and pretty much didn't have any self-control when it came to anything in my life, i'm only 21 and i needed a change -fast. I think that even just starting herbalife and getting my body the vitamins it needs was the first major jump in my progress, i felt normal again, like my depressive thoughts and feeling tired all the time were gone.
Right now i meal replace breakfast and lunch with herbalifes healthy meal shake then i eat a 'clean' dinner, which usually consists of lean proteins and vegetables. I also take herbalifes multivitamin 3x a day, and the total control 3x a day. My metabolism has definitely sped up and overall i just feel better. I usually work 10-11 hour work days and i commute 1hr each way to work, which amounts for a long day. Before starting my new lifestyle i would drink tons of coffee (with lots of creamer), and i would crash around 8am, then i would usually get an energy drink and then i would get a major crash around lunchtime. Anyways i feel like it's easy to keep on track during the weekdays because it's the same everyday, my problem is the weekends! i messed up yesterday at a family fun center and ate some nachos, i don't know if i'm being to hard on myself... but i really felt down like i ****ed up the entire week of progress, so i went home and ate some more bad foods. Also, it's so hard to resist playing beer pong, partying and all of that on the weekends. Although i know it's not that big of a deal i want to know if you guys have any suggestions about how to stay on track during the weekends?
Also feel free to add me! i have no friends on here yet! :)

    Hello! Welcome to MFP!

    MFP is a really great resource to keep you focused and connect you with a wealth of fitness resources and like minded folks.

    1. Log your foods every day - don't skip days, or parts of your day. log everything!
    2. Analyze each day - see where it went good and where it went bad - too much fat? maybe too many carbs? over the calorie limit? Identify and plan how to correct it for tomorrow.
    3. Reach out to the community with questions or advice needs.
    4. Build a network of friends here!
    5. Above all, do not believe everything you read here. There is a lot of great advice, but also some misleading and hype type advice. Part of getting fit is educating yourself in aspects of health and fitness. Make sure any questionable advice is looked at with a scientific eye and look for facts, evidence, and most importantly real world proof.
    6. You are more than a number. Sometimes the scale may not say what you hoped - thats fine. weight loss is not a straight line declination. Its a bumpy line that drops over time. Don't let single day numbers get your focus away from term based results.
    7. Vary your exercises. Your body forms memories and can slow down how it burns fat and builds muscles. Keep it confused! Hit it hard with cardio styles. Build lean muscle to burn even more fat.
    8. and above all - take your photo now! You will want to look back and have a starting BEFORE picture to proudly display along with your series of PRESENT or CURRENT photos during your transformation and continued lifestyle of fitness.

    I welcome you, and anyone else out there to add me as a friend. I have made fitness and health my passion and love the idea of folks joining me in my new lifestyle of being fit, healthy, and most importantly - HAPPY!.

    I'm here to support and motivate!!! I find my own success comes easier when I help and fuel other folks success.

    and remember - most folks care more about the quality of fuel they put in their lawn mowers than the fuel they put in their bodies. Don't be one of those people. Whole foods. Natural foods. Intelligent choices.

    Fit for life,

    Plan ahead. You have plans for the week, right? Do the same for the weekends. I plan mine on Sunday night and grocery shop on Monday. I could log in about 80% of my foods for the week on Monday! If you plan ahead, there's no surprises.
