It depends on where your weight is! Because I am currently 244 and can fit size 16/18 pants... My sister is 210 and wears a 18/20!! I can't wait to get to my weight goal 170.. I will probably be a 13/14 then0

Unfortunately women's clothing sizes mean nothing. They are not standard in any way what so ever. I'm 5'8 at 135lb and I can be a size 8 or a size 2 in pants...depending on where I bought them.

I am 5'9" and around 138 pounds. I usually grab a size six first and then go up or down from there depending on where I am shopping.0 -

And then don't even get started on the vanity sizes. In a majority of the women's clothing something that is a certain size this year was actually a few sizes bigger about 10 years ago...they just have been lowering the numbers so that women feel good about the size they are buying and are more likely to make the purchase. Women are getting bigger but the sizes are going down.
Men's clothing is much more standardized because for a lot of things they actually use measurements like neck size for shirts and waist and inseam for pants...
Unfortunately, I've found this to be true! I'm 5'9", ~150 lbs, and can wear a 6 or 8 depending on where I buy pants. At LOFT, I'm a 6. Old Navy is 8, depending on if they stretch. Macy's/Charter Club - 8 or 10.0 -
5'10.5 and 114. I'm a 0-000

I'm nearly 5'10" and currently weight 155. Size 10's are super tight on me but most of my 12's are getting too big. I hate being in between sizes!
I have never been smaller than a 9/10 as an adult and never smaller than an 8 since I was in elementary school, maybe?
I can't even imagine comfortably squeezing into anything smaller than a 10.
P.S. I've had two kids.0 -
Let's not forget there are women's sizes and misses sizes. I am 5'7" and weigh 222 and can wear 16 misses pants. However, like someone else said, it depends on where you go to buy clothing. All size 16's are not created equal and the same goes for all women's clothing unfortunately.0

I'm a little smaller at 5'7". When I was 135 lbs., I wore an 8. When I was 150 I think I wore a 10. Right now I am 170 and wear a 12. I have the impression that my hips are HUGE, but maybe it is all in my head.0

This was actually fairly helpful made me realize I am about average for my weight. I have not worn below a 10 since the 6th grade so I am looking forward to that0
