firstly congrats on the 11kg lost <applause>
I think whatever works for you is the best way forward.0 -
It all depends. Did you lose the weight in a healthy sustainable manner or did you cut calories so much that there was no choice but for the body to drop weight? If you did it safely and in accordance within generally accepted nutrition guidelines then it might make sense to continue the way you were. However, if you lost it by basically starving your body of calories then no. I don't know what you did to lose the 11kg so this is the only feedback I felt I could give. Hope it helps.0

it took me a long time and i just cut out sweets and unhealthy foods, its only after focusing only on numbers i seem to want them again!0

I would go back to your old way.
Counting calories just doesn't work for some people, makes you feel too deprived and leads to a binge.
I can't count calories either (but dang these boards are addicting;))0 -

Any idea how many calories per day you are eating using this method?0 -

i kept a journal that had no calories in it just what i ate and looking at it now it varied 900-1400 depending if i was exercising/ out/ hungry0 -
Maybe the totally cutting out is the problem. Maybe allowing yourself a sweet treat (within reason) would make you feel less like you needed a binge. Try to work in some foods you love and adapt recipes (look at recipes online like on Prevention's website) to match your calories. Sometimes all or nothing approaches make me want to eat more. As does stress...0

I think theres a thing called.intuitive eating which seems a bit more like your former way.
Mfp stops me driving my boyfriend mad mithering about calories in everything as I have friends on here to talk to! The method of counting works but you are faced with thinking about food more often, thats where my friends keep me sane. Hand on heart, would you have binged anyway? Its dissapointing but very.few people follow any plan without having a blip, the important part is how you handle it.
You clearly have willpower, and whatever you decide wish you the best.0 -
the thing is i dont think i would have, id NEVER before ever im not a foodie i never had any weight problem untill i had to be on steroids for a time for some health issues and gained weight. i went back to eating normally minus treats and weight came off.
now is the ONLY time in my life ive thought so much about food.0
