In the UK "Every Breath You Take" by the Police used to be a common wedding song.
Sting has mentioned several times that it's a song about obsession to the point of ending up a stalker and that he is bemused that people would want it as a wedding song.0 -

Whitney Houston's "Saving all my love for you" is another one. Once you start paying attention to the lyrics, it's about a mistress waiting for her married lover. Not exactly wedding song material0
