    Wow, I was expecting bigger. I'm 5'10...and 210 lbs.. I wear size 16/18 (down from the 20/22 I was wearing 20 lbs ago)... I have very large hips. Haven't been down below a size 12 since I was 13 years old. Not even sure it's possible...:embarassed:

    yep. even when i was in high school and at 175# i was a size 10/11. just built big :)

    I'm 5'7.5 (almost 5'8) I am 140 lbs and wearing a size 8. My hips are the widest part of my body. My goal is to get to 135 and be around a 6... not sure if my body will let that happen or not.

    I am 5'9" and fluctuate between 140-145. Typically I wear between size 4-8; depends on the brand!

    I'm like 5'10-5'11 and I wear between and 8-10... was down to a 6 for a little bit... but never smaller than a 6..

    5'10, 185, and I wear a 10, but can now fit into my size 8s from a few years ago. Just fyi though, I am an athlete, and so even though I'm heavier, it's a lot of muscle, so that might throw off your sizing average.

    I'm 5'8, size 3/4 (5/6 some places), Weight: 130

    I'm pretty hippy, I think of my body as a slice of bread, I'm thin from the side but I'm more wide than anything. And my hip bones are high, so my legs appear REALLY long. Searching for long jeans in a size 3/4 is just a pain. Thank God for summers!

    Unfortunately women's clothing sizes mean nothing. They are not standard in any way what so ever. I'm 5'8 at 135lb and I can be a size 8 or a size 2 in pants...depending on where I bought them.

    And then don't even get started on the vanity sizes. In a majority of the women's clothing something that is a certain size this year was actually a few sizes bigger about 10 years ago...they just have been lowering the numbers so that women feel good about the size they are buying and are more likely to make the purchase. Women are getting bigger but the sizes are going down.

    Men's clothing is much more standardized because for a lot of things they actually use measurements like neck size for shirts and waist and inseam for pants...

    I was actually about to post the very same thing. Having owned a bridal shop, and dealt with many different manufacturers I can tell you there really is NO method to women's sizes. Measurements are probably the most accurate form of determining .... I'm 5'7, and at my healthiest, I wore anything between an 8 and 12. I was 36,30, 36.... I am A LOT larger now and am embarrassed to even post those digits.
