Yet another Fitbit/MFP Question

Hey all,
Like the title says, here's another question regarding Fitbit users and MFP.
I'm trying to figure out what I should set my Calorie goal for in MFP and Fitbit, as well as Calories burned goal in Fitbit.
I used the Scooby BMR/TDEE Calculators and came up with the following:
BMR at 1591
TDEE at 1909
Daily Calories to eat-1527
So, currently I have my Fitbit Calorie to burn goal at 1838
and MFP set to eat 1338 using the set custom goal tool. So a 500 cal/day deficit assuming no exercise outside of what fitbit tracks
Should I set my Burn Goal to my TDEE? Higher?
Should I be eating more calories? Less?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I didn't know you could set a 'calorie burn goal' on Fitbit. I see only steps and distance goals (and weight)?
Instead of trying meet some web-generated number of activity calories burned, why not use your Fitbit to look at how much you currently burn, and try to increase that slowly over time? I think that's what most people do. They pick a value like steps, distance or Active Score and try to get better over time. Like if you walk 5000 steps a day now, shoot for 6000. Eventually get to 10,000. The calorie burn will go up alongside it. As you burn more than MFP expects you to, you will get a Fitbit adjustment here so you can 'eat back' your extra burn, if you choose to.0 -
I think you need to stick to a 250 calorie deficit. That way you can eat closer to your BMR, which I think is very important. If you have an abnormally high burn day, Fitbit will add exercise calories in your MFP diary automatically after your sync the two for the first time. Its pretty awesome0

I am set at sedentary here on MPF, and set to lose 1lb a week ( 500 cal deficit daily). I believe I am also set similarly on fitbit.0

You might try going to the Community / Message Board for Fitbit Users - there's lots of good tips there0

Thanks everyone,
Ill check out the fitbit board as well.
On the fitbit app on the iPhone/android, you can set the option for a specific goal of calories burned and the calories consumed.0 -
It sounds right to me. I adjusted my mfp goals to match my fitbit goals. Otherwise, when it does calorie adjustments to MFP, your numbers are off.
As far as your deficit goes, that all depends on how quickly you want to lose and how much extra activity you are willing to do.0
