i am 5'11" 190lbs and i wear anywhere from a 12-16 depending on the brand/cut. but i try not to look at the size i wear what feels comfortable. i have very good baby hips, (thanks mom) plus i have already lost 210lbs and so i have a lot of extra skin so clothing sizes suck for me. i get jeans that fit in my thighs and hips but too big around my waist. or if they fit in my waist than they are way too tight in my thighs and hips.0

I love this! This proves how differently we are all built. There is not cookie cutter size. We all have different body types and shapes and need to figure out what feels best.0

Wow, this is interesting. I'm just over 5'10" and weigh 168 and am in a size 14. I do prefer a looser cut, but I'm pretty sure a 12 would be too tight.0

I'm 5'10'' and weigh 144 as of recently. I haven't been shopping in a while but my size 8/9 pants are getting a little loose so I'd say I'm down to a 7 where I used to be! Ive got huge hips too so don't feel bad, they look great!0

You sound fine to me. When I was 150, I wore a 13-15 pants size. Yeah, I was a 60's baby, very hippy!0

5'9", 163 lb size 8, or sometimes 60

Almost 5'8 123lbs and wear a size 5/70

Yikes! you guys are tiny. I just started my diet. I'm 5' 8" and a size 16-18 (always in the middle.) I've been down to a size 14 once when I was about 200 lbs
That sounds about right. I'm at 206 and 16s are getting looser on me, I can fit into my size 14 Gap denim mini skirt. So I'm thinking: 200: Size 14. 180: Size 12. 160: Size 10 140: Size 8.
My goal is 154. So that would put me at about an 8/10, which sounds about right with what everyone else is saying.0 -

I am in the same boat. I too did not get below an 11 weighing 135 at 5' 10. Just lots of bottom.0

156lbs
Size 6/8 in pants, 10 in some brands.0 -
5'10" - 165 lbs and have just started wearing my size 10 jeans again! Up until a couple of weeks ago I was still wearing my 12's, though they were getting loose.
Pants sizes are changing a lot! I used to wear a size 10 in college when I weighed 145...I think size 10's were smaller then! (late 90's). I think when I reach my goal weight of 145 I'll be in an 8 now.0 -
What size pants/ weight are you?
I would just like to gauge how abnormally hippy I am compared to girls of my own height.
I'm 5'9, 150 lbs and a size 10-12 pants.
You are not alone. I am 5'10 and pants size at 150 was no smaller than 13/14 to a 15. I was in an 11 at 135. Butt now, I am over hundred pounds overweight and have a really big issue trying to find pants that fit. My goal is size 14 rather than 24.0 -
My name is Allyson. I am 5'7" and 169 lbs and I wear a size 6-8 pants. It does also depend on the cut on the pants. I fit 6 in most all pants. There are only a few cuts that I wear a 8. But one pair of shorts at walmart I wear a 6 in all the colors except the striped, it has to be a 10 crazy. I was an 18-20 but I lost over 80 lbs to a 6-8. Does that help?0

I'm 5'9 and can wear an 11 in juniors. So I guess a 12? in women's. I weigh 160 currently. When I was at my goal weight before (140), I wore a 9 in juniors.
this is me but I weigh 179 size 11 - at my skinniest I wore a size 7 juniors (149 pounds)0 -
I'm 5'10, 168 lbs and I wear an 11 in juniors (13 if I'm at target). I can actually get away with an 8 or 10 in women's though. I think they cut pants with more room in the hips. Even at my lowest weight (150) I never got below a size 9. As my doctor loves to put it, my hips are so wide I "could repopulate the world one right after the other". Like another poster said though, don't get hung up on size. I've seen women that are my height, weigh 40 lbs more than me, yet they wear the exact same size I do.0

5'8, 124 lbs, size 2 (sometimes 4) pants0

Well now I know I am not the only one with this problem, I am 5'7" and 173lb I am a 12 now but even when I was 150lb I could never get into anything tinier then a size 9, My hips are 42"0

5'10" - 165 lbs and have just started wearing my size 10 jeans again! Up until a couple of weeks ago I was still wearing my 12's, though they were getting loose.

Pant sizes are much larger now than they were a few decades ago. Marilyn Monroe wore a size 16 in the 50's. Today she would wear an 8. As the world gets larger, the fashion industry has skewed sizing to boost women's self esteem and make them buy more. So once again, size does NOT matter, nor is it correct.0 -
5'9" 180 size 120
-
This was actually fairly helpful made me realize I am about average for my weight.
Me Too!
I am 5'10'' at 160 i'm a 12-14 sometimes a 10. In high school I was 145 and 13% body fat as an athlete and ripped, but I was still an 8. So If I can even squeeze into an 8 I'll be happy lol. I've also had three kids in 4 years lol
Like some of you had said, big hips!! I LOVE my curves!0 -
I'm 5'9" and 189 pounds. I'm currently wearing a 12R Gap dress pant but am still a 14 in a lot of other brands.0
