HOT HOT HOT

I have this weird thing going on that I am trying to figure out. My skin feels hot to the touch, but I don't feel hot. I'm not sick and I'm not running a fever. Actually, I feel fine and wouldn't even know it except my boyfriend says I'm like a furnace with all the heat coming off me. We only seem to notice it at night. I have had a physical recently with bloodwork and everything came back normal. I read someplace that increasing your daily water intake could help with regulating body temperature. I am wondering if this is just hormonal or maybe because I have this extra weight on me? I don't have night sweats and I'm only 45 so I doubt its menopause. Does anyone experience this?

You're not too young for menopause and you could be going through the early signs of it. Some women have pre-menopause where they get all the symptoms but keep their monthly courses.

Jessy, I'm too young for menopause. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL

LOL Well I don't speak from experience but I know my Mom started around your age. There was a blood test my Mom took at her OBGYN to confirm the start... if you can't find anything else to be the cause of your HOT HOT HOT... then I would look into that

Um you're 45, how is that too young?
  • It's not too young. Actually I have seriously considered that may be what is going on.

I do the same thiing and have for at least 4-5 years. I don't worry about it- I feel fine, am healthy, it doesn't cause too many issues unless I want to snuggle at night. :). It could be hormonal and will progress to night sweats/hot flashes. I haven't had much of either yet and the ones I've had don't seem to correlate to any fluctuations in this nocturnal, internal furnace.

It's the snuggling at night that is the issue for sure. He says I am on fire and I don't even feel hot. It's so weird. I guess the built in furnace will come in handy this winter though!
