has any one heard of better n peanut butter?

I just saw this at the store and bought a jar. It looks like a low cal, low fat alternative to peanut butter. Has anyone tried this? Is this full of processed junk or is it just a less fatty pb? I'd like facts on this, not opinions, so please explain your answer. Thanks for the tips!

Never heard of it, but I sometimes make my peanut butter less fatty by using the oil at the top to stir fry veggies before I stir up the jar of pb. It's good fat so I don't want to waste it.0

It was a Weight Watchers staple back in the day because it's lower and calories and fat than regular peanut butter. I have a jar in the fridge somewhere. It's very sweet and really doesn't taste as good as the real thing in my opinion, but I used to like putting it on english muffins. I recently checked and it has about half the protein of regular PB, which is a bummer for me because I'm usually low on my protein. Also, if I remember right, the sugar was still pretty high. It tastes okay, and if you're doing it to cut calories it's a decent choice.0

It's ok. They replace the oil with brown rice syrup, so it's kinda sweet, but it is lower in calories. I prefer PB2, which is basically just defatted peanut flour. You mix it with water as you use it and it has a nice consistency - not quite like peanut butter, but very good and not artificial. It makes really good peanut sauce too, with a little sriacha and soy sauce.0

There is nothing wrong with regular PB. Yes it is high in fat and calories but if you get the all natural, nothing but peanuts and oil PB it is very good for you.0

It's called peanut butter SPREAD, because they probably aren't technically able to label it peanut butter as it is not actual nut butter.
Try a good natural peanut butter. Look for one that only lists the ingredients as peanuts, or peanuts & salt. Peanut butter is a little high in cals but it has good fast in it and is a great, healthy source of protein if you don't overdo it.
I'm biased. I don't do low fat, and I think an ideal diet contains mostly natural foods, if possible.0 -
ALL peanut butter, even if it is one ingredient only, is processed. That's what we call it when we smush up those peanuts. Processing. It's not bad, or dangerous.
I love Better N PB. I've tried PB2 as well, and I find that PB2 is better in smoothies, and Better N PB is better for traditional (sandwich, etc.) uses.0 -
To clarify, when I say this food is processed, I feel that it is highly processed. Many foods require minimal processing for consumption. When I rinse and scrub my potato before baking it, I suppose you could say i'm processing it as well, but looking at the ingredients of this product, they took the peanuts and completely made them into something unnatural. The nutrition label doesn't even look like actual food by the time they get done with it.0

I love peanut butter with all my heart.
I have tried and not at all a fan Better N Peanut Butter. Mainly because it doesn't even taste like peanut butter.
I have moved on to Krema Natural Peanut Butter. It's better... more peanutty and less sweet tasting than Better N but still not an ideal replacement for me. I'll keep looking.0 -
I LOVE Better'n Peanut Butter! It had to grow on me at first though.0
