Iced Tea UK

I've seen a bit on the forums about unsweetened iced tea but only from American people. Does anyone know if it is sold in the UK? Or how to make it??
I love Iced Tea but as I am now not allowed to indulge myself in copious amounts of food/drink I can't have Liptons anymore (too many calories). I want to find an alternative.

I have a special teapot where I can remove the infuser with the leaves in it. This means the tea doesn't overbrew and I can drink it hot or cold.
I too was disappointed when I saw how lipton's have so many cals. So now I make my own.
There are many recipies online for iced tea but I find them too complex now I have a very simple solution0 -
Couldn't you just make up normal fruit/herb tea and then chill it. Twinnings do a load and most supermarkets have their own ranges.0

Thats a good idea. We get free tea from a twinings selection in the kitchen at work. I might conduct an experiment and put a cup to chill in the fridge during the day. I'll let you know how it goes/ if anyone gets rid of it!0 -

I drink a LOT of tea... and never heard about anyone putting anything in it until I started watching BBC
and then when I moved to the south... they KILL it!!!
I keep a cupboard with probably 30 different herbal teas, loose and bagged...
I just brew it hot then put it over ice or in the fridge...
my son likes to play a game with me where he takes two (or three) flavors and takes the tag off and brews it... and then I have to tell him the flavors(I always win  )

My sister and I will brew a whole pitcher of tea, then put it in the refrigerator to chill, and we have enough for the whole day. Alternately, I'll brew a half cup of tea stronger than usual, and add in ice cubes.
The important thing is to not let the tea bags steep too long, or your tea will be all full of yucky tannins.0 -
I used to have one of those tea infusers by a company called Bodum. Worked fantastic for hot or iced tea, but I dropped and cracked it, and I haven't replaced it yet.
What I do now is simply steep tea bags in a pitcher of warm water and then stick it in the fridge to cool off for a few hours/day. Works like a charm and I have a large pitcher of iced tea to work from for a few days. I have co-worker at work who'll fill a coffee cup (one of those travel ones) in the morning at work and stick it in the fridge so that he has some iced coffee come the afternoon.0 -

We LOVE Stash's Acai Berry.. Caffeine free, and delicious. http://www.amazon.com/Stash-Premium-Herbal-Tea-100-Count/dp/B003D4MX78/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1343722292&sr=8-1&keywords=stash+acai+berry+tea Hit Subscribe and Save to save the $2, then cancel after it gets there. Not sure what you'll pay international shipping, but when I ship across the pond, it's not too terribly bad, and that works it out to something like 0.06GBP/bag. They make every flavour ever. We get a pitcher, put tea bags in there, put it in the fridge.0 -

I find that "too long" is subjective... and varies by brand and type... and what I am in the mood for... some days I want a tea that has steeped for hours... and some days I want t tea that has "short" steeped0
