Taking measurments... Help!

Hi!
I've been at this for a while but have recently come into the world of taking body measurment, Now I know where I am meant to put the tape measure with my neck but am unsure if I've done my waist and hips in the right position!
If someone could just claify it for me that would be great

hips measurement is the widest point. waist measurement just below the belly button, or were your trousers sit0

For my waist I do it just above the belly button.
For my hips, I do it on my widest part.
I think that as long as you do the measurements at the same place every time it should be okay... I could be wrong...

Hips and thigh at your widest point. The waist is a bit trickier, especially for women. I have a very short trunk; my natural waist is much higher then my belly button. I measure at my natural waist, and take a second measurement at my belly button. No matter where I measure it - I don't like the results!!! : )0
