I bought a jar of tahini to make hummus but have lots left. How else can it be used?

Mix it with yogurt. It sounds strange but I swear it tastes good.

You could try halva. I've never made it myself but it's delicious. Sadly, it's probably one of those things you might only want to have as a treat (I miss it!)

I tried it on bread instead of peanut butter once....wow I neraly gagged.

I just got a recipe off taste.com.au for lamb and cauliflower pastry triangles, and that uses Tahini...but only a little bit lol. I have two freakin jars to use up!

Ok i hope i'm not too late replying this entry, but i have many recipes that we use tahini in.
    Recipe 1 cauliflower with tahini
Blanch cauliflower bits, drain them and put them in a salad bowl
    And prepare the tarator sauce
    U need for the sauce
    Tahini
    Lemon juice
    Salt
    Water
Dissolve tahini (1 1/2 cup in some water) add juice of 2 lemons (or to taste) season with salt and whisk till u get the yogurt consistency ( not too runny not too solid) adding water or tahini to fix. Pour the tarator sauce over the cauliflower and serve (hot or cold)
    Recipe 2: baba ghannouj
2 grilled eggplants (over the stove flame) and peeled (after grilling)
Shredd them , add tahini, lemon juice, season with salt and combine.
    Recipe 3: swiis chard stalk
Clean the stalks, and boil them till they become tender but still firm
Cut them in cubes, put them in a salad bowl, proceed with same steps of the cauliflower tarator sauce, pour the sauce over the stalks combine and serve.

    Hope u'll enjoy
    Lynn
