Oh how I hate being sick!

Really, who likes being sick? lol! My husband caught a cold over Christmas and has graciously passed it on to my less then healthy body. So while I have been dieting faithfully I feel like I failure because when I am sick the only comfort to my sore throat and runny nose is orange juice. The carbs are outrageous though the calories aren't too bad. But I seriously feel like I could drink gallon after gallon! Then, I feel like I a weigh about a million pounds after drinking all of that juice. :drinker:

Wellll, that is my orange juice rant! I will probably read this after my cold induced craziness has passed and think "What in the world?" lol! Ah well! :bigsmile:

  • I'm coming down with quite a cold myself... possibly a flu judging by the aching of my body. I was just thinking the same thing earlier, how I'd love to just drink a ton of juice. But there's absolutely no room in my diet to allow calories in my drinks. :grumble:

    I know it! I can't help it though! Its like the only relief I have! I guess I just have to hope that my appetite stays low because of my cold so I can keep chugging! I just can't stand the carbs!

    I know it wont be the same but try one part water one part orange juice and throw in a few ice cubes. Cuts the carbs and calories in half and you still get plenty of fluids and hopefully a solution to that orange juice craving. Nothing wrong with orange juice. vitamin c is a good thing.

    Feel Better soon. I just got over one myself.

    Thanks spyguy! My next glass I will do exactly that! That will make me feel MUCH better about the carbs I am downing! :smile:
