Computer/TV Challenge

This is just a little challenge I made for myself, I thought I would share with you all because whenever I do it, it really helps keep me on track and I feel great. The calories burned won't be tremendous but just to stay moving keeps you focused and thoughtful about the next thing you put in your mouth.

Rules:

1. No food at the computer or TV.
2. For every 30 minutes spent on the computer, do 5-10 minutes of exercise. Anything. Pushups, situps, run up and down the block, jumping jacks just get moving!
3. For every 30 minutes spent watching TV, do the same! Or you could just workout during the commercials, even better.

That's it! Let me know how this works for you! I find it really cuts down on mindless snacking and keeps me on track for the day :) Give it a few days to try and see if it gives you a boost.

  • I shall commit to this. I have my resistance bands in my bag and my fitbit on my hip. I shall take this challenge with you!!

    GREAT IDEA!!!!!!
  • Sounds great! If any of you are computer nerds like me this may actually add up to a lot :blushing:
  • I am an electrical engineer/programmer so I Am behind a computer 4-6 hours a day! This will help a ton!
  • Yes I thought about people whose job involved a computer- if this fits into your schedule then great! If not then for those of you that can't get up, you could do some calf raises, glute squeezes, or squeeze a stress ball or something to get some muscles contracting :)
