I'm somewhat new to My Fitness Pal. I discovered this site a few years back. I didn't really use it to it's full advantage though. Mostly just got some info and went about my weight loss journey on my own. I lost more than 70lbs through diet and exercise. Then last summer I suffered a horrible knee injury that had me on crutches for more than 10 months. Following surgery and rehab, I'm finally walking independantly. I have put all the weight back on. Last week I discovered I had grown out of my biggest pair of summer pants (that are not elasticized) and realized I need to seriously do something about this. It's frustrating that I'm not able to exercise like I used to just yet. The knee is still not 100%, but it's coming. My preferred exercise is swimming, but I'll settle for the treadmill or exercise bike in a pinch. I'm hoping to start back into a water walking/swimming regime this week.
I'm currently 230lbs and my goal (for now) is to get under 200lb mark by October. Looking forward to getting to know you =)

Welcome aboard! I too suffered an injury that sidelined me for several months. I went out for a run and my knees began hurting. I had multiple stress fractures in both knees. Still not able to move like I would like to, but I keep trying. Swimming is great and I highly recommend it.
Friend my if you need some encouragement along the way.:flowerforyou:
