Not Hungry?

If you guys aren't hungry, do you eat anyway at supper time or whatever meal happens to come up?

I would say not to force yourself to eat if you're not hungry because that won't encourage any good habits, but at the same time, you don't want to be eating under a 1200 calorie level. My advice would be to find some small foods that are high in calories to fill the gap if you're too far under. Like peanut butter!

Funny that you post b/c I am not hungry right now, but I am so very under my calories today (got busy)....so yes I am forcing myself to eat some string cheese and crackers just to have something decent in my stomach. I agree with above, dont' force yourself but if you are really under calories you should try to have a healthy snack.

Pretty much what they said. Only time you want to be eating more is if you are really watching your numbers with accuracy. At that point you can actually eat more food to lose weight but you have to be precise and consistent within your range of energy burn. Above BMR, below TDEE. It does wonders.

If you don't want to focus that hard at least have a good bare minimum. Like a few hundred under your BMR. I wouldn't ever eat below that.

If I am not hungry, I don't eat. I figure that my body does not need the food at that time but will later, unless of course I am sick.

Make sure you eat enough and get enough nutrients every day, even if you're not hungry. If you're having trouble hitting your calorie goals, add high calorie density foods like avocados, peanut butter, cheese and healthy oils (flax seed, fish or olive oil).
