to get new meal ideas? If so, what are your favorites?

What kind of food do they focus on (i.e. everything, vegetarian, vegan, sweets, "healthy," etc)

I am a *huge* blog freak. I love reading food blogs and getting inspiration.

As far as "healthy" blogs I like:
    Eating Bird Food (pescatarian)
    Dashing Dish (carnivore)
    Oh she glows (vegan)

And as far as misc food blogs I like:
Smitten Kitchen (baked goods, but other things as well)

There are lots of other great ones out there, but those are my favorites.

i use alot of sites and often times modify their reciepes to fit my needs and macros. i love creating new recipes. i like chocolate covered katie(desserts) dashing dish (all types of yummy ideas, great protein shakes) jamie easons.(love her monster meatloaf!!)

Also i found this very interesting and sometimes helpful. there is a website called My Fridge Food. it lets you select from a whole range of foods what you have on hand and then gives you reciepes you can make with those ingrediants.

THIS...and all of the recipe books I've had since before it was the norm to search online.

Me too! I don't even know how to find recipe blogs, except the ones I've come across on Pinterest.

    My favorite recipe books/blogs/sites are

    The Pioneer Woman

    Cooks Country/America's Test Kitchen

    Serious Eats

Every recipe I've made from those places has been an absolute hit with the exception of maybe one or two, and those were still really good, just not out-of-this-world-home-run-good. None of these sites are noted for being low-cal or whatever, but they all tend to use real foods and natural ingredients - and if you're cooking from scratch, at least you can know exactly what's in there and control the portions better!

Mostly via the email newsletters I get everyday - Food & Wine, Women's Health and Fitness Mag. Others are blogs I subscribe to. I get other recipes from when I have (ingredient) and (ingredient) and I want to use them for dinner so I google it. Otherwise I am getting pretty damn good and coming up with my own recipes, knowing what works together and what doesn't.

EVERYTHING that I like, I clip into my Evernote (I run my life with Evernote). I have a Stack called "Food" and in it are notebooks (seafood, breakfast, poultry, apps, etc) and then in each notebook I have notes for each recipe. Just under 600 recipes right now. I use the tag feature for if something is in the crock pot, grilled, good for camping...

Also have an entire stack for Fitness & Health filled with notebooks for different topics and in each of those of course, notes for every article/thread/information I find helpful for reference or later reading.

    =)

I also use Pinterest. When you find a recipe you like and click the link it takes you to a blog or website and often you can find a lot more good ones there. I have a bunch of healthy recipe boards here: www.pinterest.com/issypal
