I saw this last night while watching the Olympics. I immediately searched for it, and found the story of this inspiring young man.

I was in tears.

Here is the link to the article, and the commercial. PLEASE, PLEASE watch and read. This kid can teach all of us something. The script of the commercial says:

"Greatness.

It’s just something we made up.

Somehow we’ve come to believe that greatness is a gift reserved for a chosen few, for prodigies, for superstars, and the rest of us can only stand by watching.

You can forget that.

Greatness is not some rare DNA strand, not some precious thing. Greatness is no more unique to us than breathing.

We’re all capable of it.

All of us."

    I felt exactly like that kid looks when I ran this a.m. And I agree: We're lapping the 95% of the population who are still in bed....

    I was so glad Nike ran that commercial, especially during the Olympics. Given the disasterous public health issue obesity is creating, a message like this is so important. I was really touched, too.
