4lbs in a month is fantastic stick to what ur doing. its a marathon not a sprint x0

You are right on track. Don't change a thing. Your pace is healthy.0
-
Imagine the 4lbs as 4 boxes of butter..that is a lot! Keep doing what you are doing!0
-
i wish I could still lose 4 pounds a month. You're doing great! I know we all want the weight off as fast as possible, but faster isn't always better or healthy.0
-
4 lbs in a month is great! Sounds like whatever you're doing is working.0

I understand why you're bummed.. still..you are getting there. four pounds gone is four pounds gone. I'd try not eating back your workout calories...or maybe you are overestimating them?
I have lost 5 pounds and this my first week. And I'm older and I'm at 1200 calories -- not exercising. I'm also eating low carb. But I'm not saying my way is THE way... time will tell. But I hope to lose another five asap! can't happen fast enough. lol0 -
hey thats good going, well done, stick with it x0

4lbs a month is a perfect, sustainable rate. Don't change a thing! You're way more likely to keep the weight off if you do it the way you're doing.
So CONGRATULATIONS on your 4lbs!0 -
I'm very jealous of 4 LBS in a month. Good job.0

4 lbs in one month sounds pretty awesome..!
That's 1 lb per week, which is a really great pace for losing weight
I'd say don't change a thing :flowerforyou:0 -
1 pound a week is healthy. How much did you expect to lose? Just curious.0
-
That's 1 pound a week.
You're eating 1500 calories per day?
You're right on target!
Healthy weight loss is not fast. And your skin will recover better if you take it slow, too.0 -

You're both doing great.0 -
It's a marathon, not a sprint. Patience.0

These are great results! This is a healthy and sustainable loss. If you lost fast, it would come back.0

4lbs in a month is the perfect "healthy" weight loss. A healthy weight loss is 1lb per month. But you have to understand, the smaller you are, and the smaller your weight loss goal is, the harder it is to lose weight. I would not be complaining, I've been on here since January 1st and I've lost 14lbs, that's about 2lbs per month. I lost a lot the first 3-4 months and the last 3 months I haven't lost ANYTHING. I'm eating the same and working out harder, but if you're body doesn't want to give it up, it wont. No one on here can tell you how you are going to lose the weight and what works, because everything works different for everybody. Eat healthy, and exercise often, that is what you need to focus on. You can play around with your calories, however make sure you are eating enough. Get your rest and just try to live a healthy lifestyle, 7 days a week. You will drive yourself CRAZY if you keep looking at that scale.0

If you haven't taken measurements or photos yet, do so now! The scale should not be your only way to measure your accomplishments.
You will most likely see a faster rate of loss in month 2 -- but even if not, remember at 1lb a week, you will weigh 24lbs less by New Year's.0 -
Do that for a year is 50lbs that won't comeback! Keep up the awesome work0

A pound a week is really good! Don't be discouraged by that! You are right on track to a healthy weight loss.0

1 lb a week is good. if you want to pick up the pace, more cardio and lift weights, eat plenty of protean, and eat back if hungry, if not don't eat back. The reason you are going to want to lift and eat protean is a faster pace will cause you to loose more muscle - which is not a good thing, so u are going to need to work to counter this.
or...
just stay at a 1 lb per week - which is probably the best option.0 -
I totally understand where you're coming from. You've made a big adjustment in your lifestyle, and you expect to see big results, too!
The thing is, you're eating a healthy amount of food, doing a healthy amount of exercise, and as a result - you've lost a healthy amount of weight in a healthy timeframe. Everyone here has given you great advice - try to reframe your expectations.
This is a lifestyle change, and if you look at it as something you're doing to impact the rest of your life, as opposed to a "diet", you will very likely have better results over the long term.
And good luck - stick with it!0 -
I have been here about 50 days now and have lost a total of 7 pounds (which actually sometimes fluctuates back to 5 !)... I was initially discouraged like you, but what I am discovering here is that as long as you stay consistent in what you are doing, it will pay off. I try (as so many have advised here) to obsess a little less about the number that is on the scale and more on what I am eating and making sure I am getting some activity. The scale will eventually move (or as in a lot of cases I've read here - the inches will - even when the number don't) and in the meantime, you just get to feel better about being healthier and on the road to getting more fit. Again, as many have said, it's about a lifestyle change and not so much a "diet". Try not to get too discouraged and if you do - well - that's what we are here for!! Feel free to add me as a friend.
(p.s. As a side note - I do totally hear you about the cost of eating healthier. I have found that it is definitely more expensive to be going this fresh and healthy route over some of the easier processed foods I had once been buying. I am just trying now to pay much more attention to what I'm buying, where I'm buying it (fruits and veggies at a fruit market vs grocery store, for example) and watching for specials. Do the best you can! It's all anyone can expect.)0 -
Four pounds? That's outstanding. Every pound lost is a victory. Keep going, you'll get to your goal.0
-
Dont be discouraged...4lbs a month x 12 = 48lbs a year...between 1 -1 1/12 lbs lost a week is recommended for a healthy program...keep going...u can do it!!!!0
-
That is very good and losing weight too quickly means its easier to put it all back on again, the nice steady rate is what you want, its not a race and in the end your body will be healthier !!0
-
p.s. Congratulations on your loss so far and your decision to start making changes ! 4 pounds IS great !0
-
I agree 4 lbs in a month is great. Keep up the good work!! You are right on track a 1lb per week. :drinker:0
-
You're where you're supposed to be! If you loose it gradually, the less chance you'll have of regaining it. Be easy on yourself0
-
Justa visual of ONE pound of fat....now multiply by 4 lol
Doing a great job, keep it up0 -
