What's yours?
Every spring since my first injury 5 years ago, I set out to lose the weight, but I have yet to lose the full 50 lbs and keep it off.
In the meantime, to keep myself motivated, I focus on smaller goals.
For the last 2 years, it's been the brown belt. I have two dress belts (and corresponding shoes) in my closet - brown and black (yeah, I'm a guy ).
The black belt is a 34"; the brown belt is a 32". The black fits, the brown doesn't. :grumble:
I've vowed NOT to buy a new brown belt; I will shrink to fit into the one I have. But it hasn't happened yet.
The prize multiplies when you count that I have 3 pairs of dress slacks and shoes on the line as well.
Well, this summer, I'm doing it. Once again I'm almost there, it will fit by the end of August!

I have one too. I work at a hospital and wear scrubs to work. About year ago, I lose some weight and brought some XL pants.Well that weight lose was short lived , I gained it back and then some. So now I have only 4 pair of 2x pants. I refuse to buy anymore 2x pants. I looking forward to my XL pants. Sooo I feel ya!!0

MY goal is similar. I want to get back to what I was in high school (4 years can make such a difference). I also want to throw away my size 12 pants, all of them!0

I kept a pair of size 16 jeans that I used to love to wear (that are now far too snug for me). I started at a 22, and right now, my size 18 jeans are fitting comfortably. I wiggle into those size 16s to check how much closer I am to fitting into them, and it helps0

I do the same with a pair of 33" dress pants - I can button them, but I'm "Captain Tightpants" with a muffin-top. I keep telling myself, two more weeks and they'll fit...0
