Truth: HIV is like Herpes in that it stays alive on the toilet seat for at least 45 minutes. Careful where you poop!
Way to spread some total bullsh!t that I'm sure some idiot here will believe.
^^^^ This! Wow dude, NOT cool.0 -

If someone believes me, and then subsequently cr*ps their pants because they didn't make it home in time, I will be thoroughly elated.0 -
Oops, I meant to quote and then post. Both of my parents died from AIDS when I was a child. Four children and two grandparents who lived with them, including myself, did not contract it. Blood and semen/vaginal fluids. That's it.0

I just don't play with fire, that way I'm never burned.0

Almost right, it isn't HIV, it is Hep C that can stay alive for quite a few days actually.0 -

Dude, you don't get HIV from fire either. DAMN.

Have you tried?
There is a statistical correlation between camp fires and hiv infection.0 -
Breast milk can contain HIV/AIDS.0

Transmission can happen through any type of body fluid, so yes it can be passed through spit. Not by just swapping spit and kissing someone, but if the receiver has an open wound it can get into the blood stream.
WRONG!!!!!!!0 -
I know somebody who thinks that only homosexual men can get it. I showed him the CDC website where it said that most of the people who have HIV/AIDS are actually heterosexual. Still didn't believe me. Facts are just too much for some people.0

Mother to Child: It is possible for an HIV-infected mother to pass the virus directly before or during birth, or through breast milk. Breast milk contains HIV, and while small amounts of breast milk do not pose significant threat of infection to adults, it is a viable means of transmission to infants0 -
Please be informed, and read the newest data on HIV transmission!

DON'T ALLOW YOURSELF TO REMAIN MISINFORMED!!!0 -
Blood in saliva, open sores in your mouth, etc. Saliva, regardless of what people want to believe, does not contain HIV/AID, regardless of how much, or little you drink; the factor would be if it was contaminated through an open sore/wound/cut/chapped lip/etc.0

OH MY GOD, PEOPLE! IT'S 2012, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, NOT 1982!
Get educated, for frack's sake! GEEZ!0 -

WRONG!!!!!!!
HIV can be transmitted from an infected person to another through:
Blood (including menstrual blood)
Semen
Vaginal secretions
Breast milk
The following “bodily fluids” are NOT infectious:
Saliva
Tears
Sweat
Feces
Urine

It can be transmitted through saliva, but it's such a small amount in in that it's extremely unlikely. So for practical purposes, it can't be.
HIV/AIDS is actually difficult to catch so long as you practice safe sex.0 -

Unless you happen to get said blood in a wound or are, for some strange reason, injecting it into your body... there's a very slim chance of it being a method of transmission.0
