Measuring pasta?

When I make angel hair pasta I do 2 oz. uncooked. When I look in the database I want to make sure I am using the correct numbers as it doesn't say cooked or uncooked. Is this correct?

Measure it before cooking. If the MFP database matches the nutrition info on the package of the pasta, then yes it is correct.

There are tons of entries for dry pasta as well as cooked. If you can't tell which one the entry in question refers to, use a different one.

I would add my own entry. It's easiest if you are having problems with finding a sutiable entry. Also, in case you didn't know, 2 oz uncooked equals 1 cup cooked....thank you google!
  • WOW! I never thought to measure before cooking...I've been cheating myself! This is so funny because Imeasure everything else before cooking, so why not pasta too?
