20 Pounds in 7 weeks

Just a little bit about myself. I’ve been overweight pretty much my whole life. I first tried to lose weight about 10 years ago, right after I had my youngest daughter. So it has been 10 years of yo-yo dieting (WW, Atkins, Fat smash, Alli) you name it I’ve tried it. Last year I started a program with my best friend and lost 38 pounds…….unfortunately I gained back 28 pounds. My favorite line was “I’ll start over again on Monday”. I really started getting serious about my weight around the beginning of June. After speaking with my doctor and being told that the only way I would be able to get off of my blood pressure medicine was to have weight loss surgery. Not only did that make me mad but it inspired me to do it on my own. So these past 7 weeks I completely changed the way I ate. No more Dunkin Donuts every morning for breakfast no fad diets, gimmicks, or pills. I eat about 1500-1600 calories a day, workout 5-6 times a week, and I weigh myself every other week. In the past I was obsessed with the scale. I’m so glad that I accidently downloaded the MFP app.I still have a long way to go so feel free to add me so that we can fight this battle together :wink:
