Songs/music that gives you that extra UMPH to go harder.

So today I rode 25km on my bike, and it was mostly because my ipod kept cranking out one good song after another. I find I love biking mostly to ska/pop-punky music, and definitely kick it up when I get some Daft Punk flowing.

I was inspired by a few songs today, so I figured I'd share them. Maybe you guys can suggest some new stuff to keep me going?

Less than Jake - Look what happened
The Aquabats - Super rad
LCD Sound system - Dance yourself clean
Modest Mouse - Dashboard
Balkan Beat Box - War again
The Bouncing Souls - Hopeless Romantic
Coheed and Cambria - The suffering

What are you listening to?

Nothing. When I'm outside on my bike on the roads I don't want to get run over or cause an accident.

Good call! Luckily on the riverfront here, we have an awesome trail and bike lane system! Never risk it on the roads, you need all your senses (but this thread is for ALL of the workouts! not just biking! :] )

Afro Celt Sound System (Vol 2: Release and Vol 3: Further in TIme)
    Safri Duo Group (Episode II)
A bit of Madonna, Peter Gabriel, THe Wanted, 3 Doors Down, Def Leppard

I like the heavy bass/beat... not too many words, just strong music.

Got the Nike Run app... and when you start to hit the wall you can press the "Powersong" button which cuts off any music you are playing and kicks into your song.... no lie... it really spurs you on for that little bit longer..

My power song was "Crazy Horse" by Black Label Society! works a treat!!!!

LOL music is a great tool it seems:

I start with this one for extra motivation on days when I don't feel like it but need to remember why I refuse to give up: "Time of Dying" - Three Days Grace (I think I will always have this one song included on every playlist)

Otherwise, my workout playlists are alternated with Heavy Metal Alternative songs that can directly be related to my previous life and the reasons why I'm so happy now to make, and have made, all these changes.

Anything upbeat. Being a dancer I live and breathe music. Yesterday at the gym I had Beyonce on my Pandora and I was definitely singing and dancing, I'm sorry for anyone nearby me. Don't hate on me - but Call Me Maybe came on and I went all out! haha

Oh and "remember the name" I think it's called by Fort Minor - always helps me get through.

This whole album is pretty upbeat - I play it when I'm doing the 30 Day Shred! The first song is good for warm up as it starts slow then gets into it. Then the album gets more upbeat as is goes along really :)

    Klaypex - Loose Dirt

Wild Ones - Flo Rida ft Sia
    Back in Time - Pitbull
Tonight I'm Lovin' You - Enrique Iglesias
We Run the Night - Pitbull ft Havana Brown
    More - Usher
    Superbass - Nicki Minaj
International Love -- Pitbull ft Chris Brown
Club Can't Even Handle Me Right Now - Flo Rida

As you can see, it is a lot of Pitbull and Flo Rida but I think their beats are just FANTASTIC for exercising -- fast paced, fun, and energetic. I just finished my first ever half marathon last week and am convinced I could not have done it without these two men on my iPod!

My whole workout playlist consists of electronic music, mainly dubstep. I have almost every track from Klaypex- Loose Dirt on it.
