Trying to lose 30-40lbs in a few months Combined with running/walking 4-5 times a week is 1200 calories enough? Just seems really low...thanks!!

Eat 1600 calories each day for a month. If you see a persistent weight increase take 200 off. Try that.
With 30-40 lbs to lose you can supply lots of calories from your fat reserves to make the difference between what you eat and what you use.0 -
