No idea from the information available, what does the goal setting tool here put you on if you tell it you want to use 1 pound a week ? How active are you in your non-exercise life ?
  • I was just using the app and it doesn't change no matter what I put lol

I work in a call center so I'm not very active besides swimming/excercise.

Well you could assume your BMR is about 1400, +20% for sitting around etc = 1680. Add on an average 200 cals a day for exercise = 1880. Take off 15% to give a weight loss = 1600 calories.

Eat 1600 calories each day for a month. If you see a persistent weight increase take 200 off. Try that.

With 30-40 lbs to lose you can supply lots of calories from your fat reserves to make the difference between what you eat and what you use.
  • Thanks! Do you have any suggestions on things to eat that help you stay full longer?
