Pounds, cuz us canadians are supposed to use metric....but mostly we do that for speeds and distance...officially metric system, unofficially, imperial measure.0

Kilos. Australians use the metric system. We don't know what the &*#! a quarter pound is... :smokin:0

IN the US, so I use pounds.
I did however, learn to use kilos and CC's for my son's medical needs. Oh and ML's. I can measure and almost mutiply it out in my head to figure out what it is in the US system.
ETA: a CC and an ML measurement are the same....doh!! LOL0 -

Pounds... but pounds and stones are kind of the same aren't they??0

I use kg's (as I am Aussie) but familiarised with pounds/stones from being on here and having expat friends
@alzaman5925 - there are approx 14 pounds to a stone.
For the Aussie's here, there are approx 7 kgs to a stone and 1 kg is 2.2 pounds0 -
I use pounds on here because I have too but I use stones normally . Using pounds feel unnatural to me.0

Both pounds and kilos. My scale is in kilos because I live in Israel, but I grew up in the US, so I'm used to thinking in pounds.
I've gotten pretty good at converting weights (even ounces and grams), but I am terrible at height and small variations of temperature.0 -
Pounds here but stones at home, got a great app that switches the measurements to each its pretty cool0

Same here!
1stone = 14lbs
If anyone asks how much I've lost I say a stone and a half - if I said 22lbs they be sooo confused lol xx0 -
stones, but convert to pounds for this site0
-
KG! and the metric system and temperatures in Celcius like a true European, but Im gradually getting more and more used to the pound system0

I grew up with Kilos, so that is what my heart is working with.. On here I am working with pounds as that is just more rewarding when it comes to seeing the numbers drop - and I love the word "Onederland"! In theorie I know that 14lbs is a stone but that so does not mean anything to me really, so when ppl here in London ask me how much I want to lose, I always have to re-calculate from my beloved Kilos back into pounds and THEN into stones - quite stressful really..
No good with converting anything else really, have no concept of Fahrenheit, gallons or ounzes, a yard still equals a meter to me and as long as I can get away with thinking about a mile being roughly 1,5km I am fine.. :-)
I do mix up left and right though XD0 -

Yep 1 KG is 2.2 lbs. Can't tell you the number of times I multplied it out to get my son's weight. As even though in the US we are on pounds, the children's hospital here is all metric. I think most hospitals are.0 -
I have to deal everyday with volumes in gallons, concentrations in grams and milligrams per liter and flow rates in gallons.
The world would be so much simpler if we as Americans could adopt the metric system.
The math that everyone hates would be so much easier.0 -

ibs and stones. the reason why I use ibs is because they are just about small enough to lose in a week where as for a kg, it is very hard to lose a kg in a week and I would feel like I havent achieved anything! so has to be ibs lol0
-
lol so true. Still don't understand why Americans use month/day/year when rest of world has been using day/month/year for like forever.
In regards to weight, use Stones, but now starting to embrace my European thinking of getting used to Kilos as well now.0 -
hahaha Now I live in the States and I feel weird writing 8/2/2012 ugh for me 2/8/2012 flows better and makes more sense I can't remember to write it their way so I just write Aug 2 2012 lol
They also drive on the opposite side than what i'm use to but i'll deal lol0 -
I do pounds because of living in the US. The hubby (Brit) does too but when I lost 14 pounds (a stone) he told me I lost Mick Jagger *laff*0
-
I use stones (UK user). Miss them terribly here and tired of converting into hundreds of pounds - please add the option for us Brits!0
-
