Confused about Calories

When reading nutrition labels I sometimes get confused and begin to doubt myself regarding dry beans(chickpeas, black beans, pinto beans , etc). When the back of the bag reads: 170 calories per 1/4 cup are they referring to dry or cooked beans? Lastly, how many calories would be in 1/4 cup of chick peas? Thank-you!

it's always dry weight unless is specifies otherwise.0

On a bag of dry beans it means dried weight. On cans it usually gives calories for drained weight.0
