I've found so many recipes and i've tried many but none seem to work for me:frown: The pancakes are either too dry, fall apart when i'm cooking them, flat, or just taste horrible:ohwell: Any suggestions?? :happy:

    What do you normally make the batter with?

    I've found by making the batter a relatively thick mixture gives a good pancake. Also adding some flour helps gratefully, coconut or rice flour is my usual choice. Baking powder helps them fluff up slightly better too.

    Also having the heat at a medium temperature really helps them, too high and they don't cook too well.
  • Well usually i find a basic or general recipe for protein pancakes which usually calls for ingriedients like protein powder, banana, ground flaxseed, egg whites, cinnamon, and then from there you can tweak it up a bit. haha But everytime i make these they never turn out:ohwell: But I like the idea of adding in the flour!! I'm sure if i add just a bit it would make the pancakes better! :happy: Do you have a different recipe i can try?? :happy:

    Try the Greek Yogurt Pancake, simple, easy and yummy!
    - 1/2 cup flour;
    - 1 tsp baking soda;
    - 6 oz plain Greek yogurt;
    - 1 egg;

    Mix the yogurt and egg together in a bowl. Mix flour and baking soda in another bowl. Combine all ingredients and cook on a non-stick surface (using coconut oil adds flavor but is not essential).

    Enjoy!
  • Thanks so much! im really excited to try this recipe!:happy:

    This morning I decided to use a casein or night time protein powder instead and the result was really good. The casein mixes a lot thicker than whey so I didn't need to incorporate flour.

    These are UK measurements sorry

    60g egg whites
    45g light Greek yoghurt
    10g sprouted flax seed
    10g chocolate milk protein smooth (casein)
    60ml almond milk

    I just mixed the egg and yoghurt, then mixed in the dry and finally added the milk to thin out the mix

    The oven top was at a medium heat and I cooked them slowly in 2.5ml of rapeseed oil (I think its called Canola in America)

    Served with light cream cheese, frozen blueberries and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice

    Yum!

    I'm going to try this one, thanks so much! I made one that someone recommended the other day and it came out great:

    1 cup of egg whites
    1-2 scoops of protein powder
    1-2 cups of canned yams
    2 tsp vanilla
    (optional - a few sweetener packets)

    Fry up....delicious, and healthy. No flour. Makes 4 LARGE, and approx 20 g protein each!
