I have a question for the OP, if you think the MIO is causing your cravings, then why are you going to wait until you use it up before you stop using it, why dont you just toss it out now?

If we limit ourselves to 1 glass every day or so, I'm sure the cravings will be more manageable. I know it sounds crazy, but we don't have much left and we all have our little quirks; one of mine is an almost violence reaction against waste. I just can't bring myself to get rid of something that we can still use.

To the OP why is there a "REAL danger with Mio"? Just because it contains Sucralose?

No, the "danger" I alluded to is that if you are trying to lose weight, something that causes cravings for sweets is a sure-fire way to sabotage yourself right back into an unhealthy lifestyle.

I love my Mio, it definitely helps me drink more water throughout the day. I don't notice any extra sweets cravings, I feel like I get the "sweet" with the drink. That's just me :)

Mio, Crystal light, Propel, all of them taste like powder to me, every sip of water tastes like crap :( Im a huge coke fan so I was hoping to find something that would have flavor that I could use to switch from soda, but they all taste terrible to me

I bought the peach tea Mio to try, but the flavor was so bad I ended up having to throw it away. Did I just pick up a bad flavor or what? I don't understand how people drink it...

Not everyone gets cravings from artificial sweeteners, but if you do it is a good idea to avoid them.

I have also heard that soap and shampoo have formaldehyde in them but I haven't quit using them. As far as the sweet cravings I don't have any more now than I did when I wasn't drinking things with artificial sweeteners. I have tried MIO fruit punch, berry pomegranate, orange tangerine, strawberry watermelon, mango peach and have liked them all. The only one I didn't care for was peach tea. I have also used many flavors of crystal light, great value, and hawaian punch with artificial sugars with no adverse reactions. Not everyone has the same problems so its not a one diet fits all solution. That's why I love MFP, we can have it and do it OUR WAY

I drank just about exclusively Diet Dr Pepper before MiO. The continual dose of caffeine from DDP was admittedly bad for sleeping during the day on my rotating shift. That's why I tried MiO, originally it was to find -something- uncaffeinated for use at the end of night shift (my other favored drink of brewed tea is worse than DDP)
Causing a sweet craving? No it hasn't for me, like I said I was full time soda drinker prior to mio though.

Last week i bought 2 different flavors from MIO to give it a shot: Fruit Punch and Orange-Tangerine

First day i consumed two bottled water with MIO , one with Orange-Tangerine another with Fruit Punch. Next day i had a painful sore throat. I thought it was because same day i ate a little ice cream but that was not supposed to cause sore throat. Then next day i only tried fruit punch again with less dosage (cause i thought i may overdosed before) which was almost half of the instructed on the bottle and next day my throat pain got worsen. So i suspected MIO and did some online researched and see that many people had same symptoms. Even some of them had experience worse side effects. So i immediately discarded the MIOs i got. This product should be banned from the market and i don't know how they haven't been sued for that yet. And yesterday when i visit my cousin i saw that she was flavoring her water with fruits and spices, and it was incredibly tasty water so i started to do the same thing. I suggest you to use fresh fruits such as strawberry apple and lemon or lime. Slice a whole apple or couple strawberries and or lemon lime. Throw them in a pitcher of water and let them wait for couple hours. You will see it will taste much better than these chemical flavors. Also mint gives a refreshing taste. But my favorite is cinnamon stick.

I highly recommend you to stop using MIO or any chemical flavors which would cause serious problems in the future despite i had these problems in 2 days.

No worries with me. I broke out in a body rash after my first and last glass.

My main drink right now is Schweppes Diet Ginger Ale. No aspartame, no sugar, no caffeine (it's illegal for clear drinks to contain caffeine in Canada), no calories, no carbs.
