I have been on MFP for a while but I am now starting to post on message boards and looking to add friends.
About me, I'm finally within 20 lbs of my end goal after losing 35 lbs in the last year. I know these are going to be the most difficult lbs to lose so I'm looking for people with a positive outlook who can provide encouragement to add as friends (or you can add me)
I am following the paleo / primal eating style so any tips on that would be awesome
cheers

Hi, I'm new on MFP today. Wish I'd started at 39 instead of my current 49. Did the milestone birthday approaching inspire you as well? We both have about the same goal remaining. Mind if I tag along?
I know little about the diet you're on, other than I think it makes a lot of sense. However, I did find that it very difficult to choose my first day's menu because we really don't buy much corporate, packaged food. We garden and buy and cook with raw ingredients most of the time. Liking the right foods is not at all a problem. It's that I like all the wrong foods too! We also eat out a lot, which conceals much of what I'm choosing to eat.0 -
Thank goodness, another primal eater, or as I like to say "I eat like my ancestors ate". I was just reading another post where there was there was a very adversarial conversation going on (mostly from one "side") about carbohydrates. It was very hard to digest how some people are putting down others just because they do something different. In my first post to introduce myself, I was told that my nutritional choice is a "fad diet" lol, but i know the person meant well.
Anyway, I am new on here today too. I signed up in March but didn't explore the site until today. I can't believe what I was missing. I love the food tracker! The other site I followed charged $22 per month and gave zero nutritional information.
While i'm new here, I'm not new to working on my weight and health. I do a lot of research on nutrition, contaminants, health issues, etc. Any support that I could offer, you are welcome to. But always, everything is based on my personal opinion and research. We're not all the same and I do my best to remember that.0 -
i forgot to mention that I live in Nunavut, Canada.0
