HELP! How many calories??? (Baffled!)

I am reading tons on BMR and caloric needs that have left me baffled, bewildered and confused:noway: :noway: . I have done 30-60 minutes on the bike at the gym everyday for two months, and only started losing weight last week.
I have been taking in about 900 - 1200 calories. This week I will try for 1400 calories and see if that helps.:yawn: It is SCARY to increase my calories, so I sure wish I understood what I am doing!
P. S. I am a 65 y/o female on oxygen 24/7 in Obese category I, and can barely walk (though I can give the bike at my gym heck on a daily basis for a full hour).

I would suggest you enter your body and activity level information in this site, and go to MY HOME - Goals and select Change Goals at the bottom of that page. Set your weight loss for 1 pound per week and eat that including the calories you burn exercising each day. Try that for 4 weeks and see what happens.0
