Fatty Rash/Chub Rub?

Yknow, when your thighs rub together whilst working out, resulting in unpleasant bumps and itchiness? Anyone know how to keep this from happening?

I used Gold Bond medicated powder. The rash was gone by morning.

To prevent it, I've been working out in nothing but my sports bra and my girl-boxers, but I workout in my bedroom, so that won't work for some people.

I've finally lost enough not to notice it much on runs up to 30 minutes, for longer runs I use a bit of Shea & cocoa butter. It seems to help.

They sell this stuff at Tractor Supply or Walmart called anti monkey butt powder. Sounds stupid (the picture of the monkey is stupid), but it really works. Also shower to shower powder works really well.

Body Glide is specifically made for this. I use it when I run, it works well.

I wear bike shorts to keep it from happening. The legs of the shorts don't ride up on me while exercising, either.
  • As a marathon runner, I have had way more than my share of chafing. I swear by "Body Glide". That is what it is made for and it lasts for my 4+ hour runs. I would assume baby powder would wear off rather quickly. Hope it helps.

Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief Gel Powder works really well. You only need a tiny bit.

Thanks for sharing, I need to start to use baby powder then because I am sick of my thighs rubbing together and get a rash.

I use body glide as well and wear capri length yoga pants when I run, that way nothing rides up.

Body glide to prevent, medicated powder like Gold Bond to treat.

So funny you asked about this today. I used Gold Bond friction defense stick for the first time on this mornings bike ride. As the commercial says..."this stuff works" It was a little hard to find ended up getting it ar Walgreens give it a shot.
