A lot is mind over matter. If you believe you will succeed, then success can but follow.

And if not, drive up to Largs and go to Nardini's for a knickerbocker glory! :drinker:

How has it gone Mazza? I am starting on Thursday for 3 months...
  • I did this diet in 2008, very successfully lost 3 stone in about 6 weeks. I didn't regain the weight until I went on antidepressants later that yr (6 months on) then i kid you not I put on 28 pounds in 5 weeks. Since then my weight gradually increased to my biggest ever by far 230lbs ish and now I'm losing this very slowly and i'm finally off the anitdepressants!!! 198.6lbs at the moment. I actually quite like the shakes and am using some mixed in with other healthy dietary choices in replacement of say breakfast or lunch and sometimes a snack but sticking within daily limits.
I not going to trash this diet but I do think one of the most important things with it is to reintroduce carbs very slowly, sticking mainly to fish, lean meat veg and fruit and low fat dairy to start with. If not done properly it's a total waste of time effort and money because unfortunately it'll all come back with an added extra bit to boot. Some of the products actually tatse quite nice though.

Wow Moinelli, coming off anti-depressants and losing weight is a huge acheivement. I hope that I can introduce food slowly but surely. Hope that I can be that strong!

I also did Cambridge about 4 years ago. I lost 18kgs (about 40 pounds) in 21/2 months. Felt great, no side effects or anything. Unfortunately I didn't continue to stabilization or maintenance so after a year I put back 15kgs. If you want to succeed you have to go through all the process. Anyway, now I started the Ducan, because Cambridge is very expensive for me at this stage. In my opinion, Ducan follows the idea of Cambridge but without purchasing any products. It's a low carb diet.

I wish you all the best. If you stick on it and do it correctly you will keep the weight off.
